International participants learned about success in the summer camp of „School of Success“

The first international summer camp of „School of Success” took place last week (18-24’th of July) in Lithuania. Participants included the youth from Lithuania also Latvia, Estonia, Sweden, Norway and Iceland.
„The international summer camp was a new experience in different perspectives: lecturers had to be carefully selected depending on their subjects and language skills, also youth leaders had to be prepared accordingly. The positive feedback from the camp participants showed that the international project was useful, both for the Lithuanians and the foreigners, who not only improved their English but also changed stereotypes about the different countries and gained understanding on what youth from the Nordic countries has in common”, said Indrė Zdančiūtė, Project Manager of the Summer Camp and International Projects Coordinator.

During the camp participants attended various seminars and workshops about the intercultural differences, creative and successful personality, theatre improvisation, etc. Every morning started with a different type of morning exercises, whereas in the evening intensive programme offered discussions, cultural evening, board games, movies and dances.

This has been the third summer camp organized by the „School of Success” Over 100 pupils in total have already attended this summer event.

Some of the feedback from the participants is as follows:

„This has been my best summer in the whole life.”

„I could repeat it all over again tomorrow…”

„Everything seems so easy and simple now. Before I was more interested in useless things while now I analyze life more.”

„I got a huge doze of happiness, still recovering now.”
