The schoolchildren of „School of Success” subsidiary in Šiauliai are organizing event „What’s up today?” for its citizens as their final semester task in school.  The purpose of this event is to show how significant and interesting could be spending leisure time in the city.

The coordinator of Šiauliai subsidiary Dovilė Meliauskaitė says, „Young people in Šiauliai don’t have many entertainments, so those who will come, will be surprised by variety of events that we are going to offer them”.

In the program of this event there are included karaoke on the roof of shopping centre together with city choir, performance of DJ Funky M, review of short films made by young people, salsa lessons, juggling lessons and blowing of huge bubbles.

According to the coordinator, it’s very important that schoolchildren are organizing this event by themselves. This is very good possibility for them to learn organizational and leadership skills, to take responsibility when doing something that is interesting and important for them. „This is their first intention to prove others and themselves that if you wish that something in your community or in your city could change to better, you should take the first step and part of initiative for yourself”, said D.Meliauskaitė.

This event will be held on 22nd of May.
